The price of our PHP Extended Support is based on the age of the version. Maintenance for older versions is associated with higher costs for IONOS. We charge the following prices:

PHP 5.2 / 5.4 / 5.5 / 5.6: $23,58 per month
PHP 7.0 / 7.1 / 7.2 / 7.3: $18,28 per month
PHP 7.4 / 8.0: $15,62 per month
PHP 8.1: $7,81 per month

How can I cancel Extended Support?
We will notify you in advance if your website is using an outdated PHP version and offer to move you to our PHP Extended Support. You have the flexibility to switch to the latest PHP version in your Control Center whenever you prefer. You can make this version change either before the introduction of the corresponding PHP Extended Support or afterward, along with canceling the Extended Support feature simultaneously.

If you've confirmed that your applications and scripts are compatible with the current (and free) PHP version, you can directly upgrade to the latest versions of PHP, offering optimal performance and security. For older versions, we provide a paid Extended Support option for both existing and new customers.
